No Control on RTI Panel

If the touch panel is on but nothing responds when you press buttons, the control processor may need a quick reset. Follow the steps below in order. Step 1: Power-cycle the Control Processor (Recommended) This is the most common fix and is safe to try. 1. Locate the RTI control processor (usually in a rack or comms cupboard). 2. Unplug the power cable from the processor. 3. Wait at least 6 seconds. - Make sure all indicator lights turn off completely. 4. Plug the power cable back in. 5. Wait 1–2 minutes for the system to restart. Once restarted, test the touch panel again. Step 2: Use the Reset Button (If Needed) If the system does not respond after a power cycle: 1. Locate the small reset button on the processor. 2. If there is a magnetic cover, gently remove it. 3. Using a paperclip or similar, briefly press the reset button once. 4. Allow 1–2 minutes for the system to restart. ⚠️ Do not press and hold the button unless instructed by AVX Support. Step 3: Check the Network Link Light Before contacting support, check one important indicator: - Look for a light labelled “Net Link” on the processor. - This light should be on or flashing. If the Net Link light is off, the system may not be connected to the network and will require support. If This Didn’t Fix the Issue Please start a chat with AVX Support and let us know: - That you’ve rebooted the processor - Whether the Net Link light is on or off - When the issue started (if known) We’ll take it from there and get you back up and running.
